Indore: In a ceremony held on Saturday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College’s Super Specialty Hospital. Additionally, he also unveiled a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College, built at a cost of approximately Rs 6 crore.
The advanced CT scan machine, donated by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, is expected to enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities significantly. CM Yadav officially opened the CT scan room by cutting the ribbon and offering prayers, followed by a detailed briefing on the machine's features.
The newly constructed building, overseen by the Public Works Department, aims to address the space constraints highlighted by the Dental Council of India during their inspections. Furthermore, the state government is set to install an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefitting both undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as outpatients.
CM Yadav emphasized the government's dedication to improving healthcare services in the state, noting that the advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses. The newly added facilities at the dental college will provide world-class amenities for dental students.
During his visit to Indore, Yadav also toured the MR-10 situated ISBT, scheduled to be operational by December. He announced plans for Indore to host India's largest inter-state bus terminal, designed akin to an airport, which will serve as a significant landmark benefiting both the city and the state's infrastructure.The construction of a new 15-acre facility, prepared for the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering, is a significant development. This terminal, built at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA, aims to greatly improve the travel experience for passengers. It has the capacity to serve up to 80,000 passengers daily and can host 1,440 buses non-stop. The ISBT will provide various amenities such as 14 ticket counters, a parking space for 1,000 vehicles, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and more. Additionally, the CM inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and assured job security for all employees of the Sanchi Dairy Plant in Indore. The government of Madhya Pradesh is committed to strengthening the state's dairy sector and supporting dairy cooperatives. At a separate event, the CM unveiled a statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi in the city forest, honoring her and her community's sacrifice to protect the environment. During his visit to Indore, the CM also received blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which has conducted blood tests for approximately 50,000 people.
